Our Story......
We didn't start out being a 'Biewer family'. We came to find this beautiful breed out of the loss of one of our Yorkies. October 13, 2006. A day that will always be embedded in our lives forever. On that day at about the same time, we lost our little Zeus (our 2.6# yorkie), we also lost 3 family members in a horrific automobile accident.
I lost my 18 day old great-nephew, my 5 year old great niece and their dad. My great niece loved animals and wanted a puppy...... I like to think that Zeus was waiting on her at Heaven.....
So, you see, our dogs are really very special to us.
After we lost so many loved ones, all at once, I needed something to hang on to and give me some joy.
I started looking for a new puppy to love.... that was how I found the Biewer breed. While searching for another Yorkie, I stumbled upon the Biewers and it was pretty much love at first sight.
After talking to several people who had Biewers for sale, I found a lady in Nevada who had travelled to Germany and purchased her Biewer. She brought Panda back from Germany and had no intentions to sell him, until we talked and I told her my story.
She and her family were coming to Texas for Thanksgiving and said she would bring Panda to visit and see if he was a 'good fit' for us. When they got here, and they put Panda in our arms, it was love at first sight. He was fully grown about 2 years old, but it was like he had always been part of our family. He never whimpered, he never cried or looked for them. It was like he knew he was supposed to be ours. Panda immediately took up residence in my husband's lap and to this day that is his favorite place to be !
